M/M aka Michael McGregor, best known from his outstanding releases of lo-fi techno on 1080p and sketchy experimentations on videogamemusic, is back this time with more ethereal tracks. "Before We Lost Ourselves" is a collection of two dreamy compositions in William Basinski's infinite loop style. They were both recorded in 2011-2012 with Korg DSS1, Akai AK60, cassette tapes of field recordings, Roland SP-404, and a reverb unit. M/M recommends - "Drink some tea, then some liquor, maybe have a smoke, sit back, relax, and sink in". A very pleasant music to play in the dark.
